On 24 September, SAP and Telecon brought together HR and finance executives and experts in Almaty for the event “HR + Finance: how to achieve synergy with SAP SuccessFactors and AI”. The discussion focused on the transformation of HR processes, the possibilities of artificial intelligence and practical ways to make the implementation of modern HR solutions more effective.
Akmaral Permanova, Head of the SAP HCM/SF practice at Telecon, spoke about the possibilities of AI in HR processes. Practical examples showed the participants how AI agents can take over part of everyday operations: in one of the scenarios demonstrated, the time needed to process a new employee was cut from 20 to 8 minutes. The discussion also covered how such tools will develop further, from individual assistants to AI agents working with one another across end-to-end business processes.
Alexander Zaitsev, SAP HCM/SF Solution Architect at Telecon, devoted his talk to the economics of implementing SAP SuccessFactors. He showed how accelerators and AI shorten project timelines and reduce effort, so that a company moves faster from implementation to business results. At the same time, the economics of HR transformation are not limited to the project budget: what matters is the time to results, the operational workload and the cost of keeping existing manual and inefficient processes.
The event closed with a discussion moderated by Sergey Margaryan, Director of the SAP Department at Telecon. Participants discussed what the ideal HR system should look like, what needs to be done for a transformation project to finally move from discussion to launch, and what place AI will take in companies’ everyday operations in the near future.
One of the key takeaways of the meeting: HR transformation cannot remain an initiative of HR alone. HR and Finance need to align the goals of the change and the expected business result from the very start.
